Today is CarFree day in the USA. Walk, skate, bike, rollerblade, take the train, bus, or carpool around today. Check out the group's blog here. The focus is to connect with neighbors and new neighborhoods in a car free environment. As well, CarFree Day's aim is to have people take advantage of public transportation.(For folks in the DC area, stop by the Reef after work with your bike helmet and get 20% off your tab. There will be free stickers from the Safety is Sexy Campaign as well.)
Also, get ready for World Carfree Day on September 22nd, 2007. Over 1500 cities all over the world will be celebrating on this date.
